SQL Fundamentals for Data Science
Course Description
This course is specially designed for those who have no prior coding background but are interested in acquiring SQL query expertise. It consists of four increasingly challenging SQL projects with data science implications. You’ll explore a range of subjects, from SQL basics, data wrangling, and SQL analysis to AB testing, distributed computing using Apache Spark and Delta Lake, and more. These subjects will equip you to leverage SQL innovatively for data analysis and exploration, write efficient queries, create datasets for data analysis, conduct feature engineering, use SQL alongside other data analysis and machine learning toolkits, and use SQL with unstructured datasets.
What You’ll Learn From This Course
- Apply SQL commands to filter, sort, and summarize data, manipulate strings, dates, and numerical data from various sources for analysis
- Evaluate and generate datasets to address your business queries and challenges using SQL
- Utilize the collaborative Databricks workspace to create a comprehensive pipeline that reads data, transforms it, and stores the result
- Design a project proposal, select your data, carry out statistical analysis and develop metrics, then present your findings and provide recommendations
